The new High School of Excellence SPORT-ÉTUDES (Lydex-SE) which will open its doors in September 2023 in Rabat, embodies an innovative educational approach, allowing young talents to shine both in sport and in studies, thus revolutionizing the landscape educational and sporting in Morocco.

The selections for registrations were launched this summer for student candidates who have successfully completed their 3rd year of secondary school and who are distinguished by a remarkable sporting career in the competitive sports disciplines offered (middle-distance races in athletics, Judo, Taekwondo , Swimming and Golf), in addition to their academic performance. Other disciplines will be gradually added to the program in the years to come.

The Preselection was based on the academic file (grades in the 3rd year of college), the sports file and the medical file and the final selection on sports positioning tests and in-depth medical tests.

The preselected candidates participated in sports and academic tests, from July 28 to 30, within the infrastructures of the UM6P and LM6E of Benguérir for the disciplines of Athletics, Judo, Taekwondo and Swimming; and August 2, 2023 at the Royal Golf Dar Essalam in Rabat for Golf.

These tests mobilized more than 60 supervisors including sports, administrative and medical executives in partnership with the UM6P, the LM6E and the Federations concerned.

At the end of this first session, 68 candidates were selected out of 254 preselected (from 828 applications received).

At the request of certain federations and in partnership with them, a second selection phase was organized on August 30 and 31, 2023 for qualified students who did not have the opportunity to participate in the first selection phase.
