Strengthening African Women in Tech & AI: Summer Camp in Progress

Sep 2023

Launch of a Summer Camp on Tuesday August 22 at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, as part of the Women in Tech & AI in Africa Program. This initiative, in collaboration with the OCP Foundation and the AI Movement center of the UM6P, and supported by the Priority Africa and External Relations Sector (PAX) of UNESCO, aims to strengthen the skills of African women in areas of technology, innovation and artificial intelligence.

The summer camp, which will continue until September 2, offers intensive training focusing on several crucial aspects. It highlights female leadership, foresight applied to AI, comparative analysis, market research and AI project management. These lessons are brought to life through captivating case studies and interactive workshops.

The ultimate objective is to enable participants to transform their skills into tangible actions. The most promising projects that are “pitched” will have the chance to receive funding for their realization, thus giving participants the opportunity to have a significant impact in their respective fields.

The OCP Foundation is proud to support these inspiring women who are investing in their future and contributing to the advancement of Tech and AI in Africa.
